Categories: This event repeats on various days:. Don't trust your map! Although it doesn't look like it, the strip is about 4 miles long. Keep in mind that when you are walking, you can't cross streets (you have to go on this elevated walkways over Las Vegas BLVD) and that you often have to walk out of your way to get around. One tip is to check out the monorail- I often walk from Mandalay Bay up to TI or Wynn, and then make my way back through the monorail. I would say to give yourself around 1 hour to get from TI to MB (if you don't make stops on the way.but you probably will!) Definetely bring good shoes and count it your exercise while you are there (walking the strip is amazing, especially in the evening when all the hotels are lit up). 40-45 minutes in normal daytime or evening walking. You do have to navigate somewhat of an obstacle course to make it. Some casinos kind of force you to go through them to get up the road. If you get lost in there (which is what they want you to do), it can take longer. Monorail is pricey at 5 bucks a ride, but it would at least take you from the TI side of the strip to the MGM. Only trick there is that they drop you at the WAY back of MGM and it's a maze to get to the front of the property. You always pay a price to get from here to there in vegas, either in time or money. Cabs take you direct to where you want to go, but that's a bunch of cash if you use them each and every time. As long as you leave yourself enough time and are patient, walking is an option. Just look at it as sightseeing. • UPDATED: some of the most Frequently Asked Questions on the TA Las Vegas Forum • Disabled access; mobility information; Dialysis services; Hospitals; Scooters • First time visitor- what should I know?
